Course Description
In this course students examine computer science concepts. Students learn Java which is one of the industry's leading programming languages. Students also learn to develop complex computer programs in teams and individually. They learn complex problem solving skills. Students also learn about the impact of the computer on society and their lives.

Prerequisites
None although TIK2O is recommended.

Where Does It Lead?
Many students go on to take ICS4M. Many University and College programs recommend at least one computer programming course in Secondary School.

Why Should I take this course?
This course is the prerequisite for ICS4M.
